New Mexico State University is Nestled along the base of the Sacramento Mountains, east of the City of Alamogordo in the Tularosa Basin.

NMSU-A offers classes online, on-site, and on Holloman Air Force Base. Students can earn Associate degrees, Associate of Applied Science Degrees, and certificates in a variety of areas. Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Nursing are offered in Alamogordo through a distance learning agreement with the main campus in Las Cruces.

Their classes at Holloman Air Force Base meet the requirements of CCAF degrees as well as Academic Associate Degrees which now apply towards promotion.
