The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce is soliciting nominations for the Alamogordo Citizen of the Year for 2009. Judging will be based on contributions to community welfare and betterment, participation in all-around community activities and civic enterprises; leadership ability; personal and business progress; cooperation with individuals and civic organizations here in Alamogordo. The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 8th, 2010. There are no restrictions as to age, sex, race, or organization. Leadership Otero class
The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce is soliciting applications for the upcoming Leadership Otero class beginning in February 2010. Leadership Otero was founded in Alamogordo in 2001 in order to identify current and emerging leaders, enhance their leadership skills, and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing our community. Deadline to apply for admission into next year's class will be January 4, 2010. The class is one day per month and will last from February thru November. Cost is $350.00 per person and is open to the public.
